Responsibilities

• This individual will lead all local business compliance, legal coordination, regulatory engagement, licensing strategy, and government relations efforts required to establish and maintain a compliant operating framework for Bitget in Pakistan.
• The role requires direct engagement with regulatory bodies, government stakeholders, policymakers, legal advisors, banking partners, and industry councils including PVARA and other relevant authorities.
• The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in financial services, fintech, regulatory affairs, legal/compliance leadership, or government liaison roles, along with deep knowledge of Pakistan's evolving digital asset ecosystem.
• Serve as the official local signatory and authorized representative for Bitget's Pakistan operations.
• Lead strategic engagement with VARA, financial authorities, government ministries, regulators, and policy stakeholders.
• Represent Bitget in regulatory meetings, consultations, licensing discussions, and industry forums.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, policymakers, legal institutions, and banking partners.
• Monitor evolving cryptocurrency, fintech, AML, KYC, sanctions, and virtual asset regulations

Requirements

• Former regulator, policy advisor, banking executive, fintech compliance lead, or legal counsel.
• Experience dealing with virtual asset regulations, fintech licensing, or financial regulatory frameworks.
• Prior experience representing multinational businesses or international exchanges is a strong advantage.
